Untitled
Poem #36
Green and blue
turn smokey, gray, brown.
Structures crumble, crumbling lives,
screams echo ‘round.
Innocents cry, others don’t try,
spirits all silenced.
Treasures lost
to infinite darkness.
The light so veiled and tunneled,
and good mouths remain shut.
The unshattered mirrors
see none but blank reflections.
